Requiring Government Manager
Definition
A Requiring Government Manager is the government official responsible for defining requirements and overseeing the technical aspects of contract performance from the customer organization's perspective. The RGM represents the end user's interests and ensures contractor deliverables meet operational needs.
RGMs work closely with Contracting Officer's Representatives and program managers but focus specifically on ensuring requirements are properly defined and contractor performance meets user expectations. Building strong relationships with RGMs helps contractors understand evolving needs and deliver solutions that satisfy actual operational requirements.
