UEI FAQ

How can I get my UEI number?

Create a Login.gov account, sign into SAM.gov, and start the Get Unique Entity ID process with your legal business information.

To get a UEI, start by creating a Login.gov account and signing into SAM.gov, then begin the "Get Started" or "Get Unique Entity ID" process. If you're registering a brand-new entity, you'll enter your legal business name and address exactly as they appear with the IRS, and SAM.gov will assign a UEI as part of the validation steps. If you already have an active or expired SAM registration, a UEI has likely been auto-assigned and can be viewed in your record.

GovCon in a Box helps you make that UEI work for you by optimizing the associated SAM profile, improving your Federal Visibility Score, and connecting that identifier to real opportunities, teammates, and pipeline activities.
